Baobab promotes environmental protection, conservation, and the utilisation of local tourism resources. Support through travel is a direct channel for lending a hand and, by visiting the homes of endangered species and local communities, travellers acknowledge the importance of their well-being and draw awareness to their plight. Our aim is to provide unique insight into local cultures and wildlife; we create a platform from which our guests can learn about the challenges and rewards involved with conservation. The Baobab philosophy is encapsulated by three key principles: care for the wildlife, care for the people, care for the land.

CONSERVATION PARTNERSHIPS
Our partnership with selected wildlife organisations enables us to create inspirational travel itineraries, supportive of wildlife conservation and local community enterprises. The key reason for our selection by these organisations is our unique exploratory approach to discovery expeditions, coupled with our determination to support both wildlife conservation and community organisations. On select expeditions, which are guided by the staff of the wildlife organisations, travellers have the rare opportunity to meet with project staff and learn more about their conservation work and day-to-day activities.

Our aim is to promote tourism enterprises that combine the principles of sustainable tourism and high quality. Our belief is that not only should it be possible to visit new countries and experience new cultures without doing harm to them, but also that it should be possible to have a positive impact. One of our specialities is to design discovery expeditions that include great eco-hotels, lodges and camps around the world.
