really enjoyed the trip. The Dian Fossey 40th Anniversary
day turned out to be really special. That new Virunga
Lodge is amazing...the most stunning scenic vistas
I’ve seen anywhere.

From the moment the gleaming black
4x4 pulled up outside the airport, and the representative
hoisted our ski bags into the boot, it was clear
that this was going to be a slightly different
ski outing from the usual. Ski trips usually run
to a simple format: plane – coach – resort
- chalet/hotel. Settle, have a beer. Throw in a
bit of skiing, and that’s the week sorted.
But sometimes this isn’t enough. Ski holidays
should be about adventure, new experiences, and
Baobab is bringing something new to the party.

guide. He was not only a perfect driver, but he
also explained everything to me about wildlife,

come true! Okonjima is an outstanding place to

Arriving at Zurich Airport, I
felt a bit like a pop star. Having grabbed my luggage
and trudged through customs, I was met by my driver,
Antonio, who eased my bags from my hands and whisked
me off to a waiting car. I sat back, stretched
out and settled in for the ride to St Moritz: the
first and finest stop on a four-day whirlwind tour
of three of Europe's coolest ski resorts. Why limit
your ski holiday to one resort - or indeed country
- when you can "do" three?

Charles loved Gombe! We were very lucky as we got
to see lots of chimpanzees! The tented camp was
great and we had an excellent & charming guide.
The chef prepared truly delicious meals and every
one went out of their way for us. Charles was over
the moon to have eight people to play and make
camp fires with! The staff at the camp were the
best we had throughout the whole trip. Charles
came back home radiant and full of confidence.

Our guide was just super. He
was a great driver and really well versed

Virunga Lodge was best yet. What a location! We
enjoyed the dancing by the villagers on the hilltop
on our arrival and loved our rooms and their verandahs
and views. Our trek at Bwindi was a wonderful experience.
The juvenile gorillas really wanted to play and
were even more determined to touch us! It
was amazing. We could never have imagined
how it would be! We'll certainly recommend Baobab.

The whole trip was a success.
We enjoyed the gorilla tracking, especially the
family in the Bwindi Impenetrable forest. We also
liked the golden monkeys: they are a good alternative
to tracking the gorillas and they are very different.
The staff in the camps were excellent. We liked
our stay in the eco lodges as we could minimize
the impact of our stay. And our driver was really
good. We really enjoyed this vacation.
