Guided nature oriented tours to discover the stunning and diverse scenery and tropical wildlife of Costa Rica:
Our unique Nature Expeditions provide you with your passport to the planet's most spectacular natural wonders.
We will show you off the beaten track, wild and wondrous places that are as inspiring as they are eye-opening
Costa Rica was named by Christopher Columbus when he landed on the Atlantic coast on his fourth trip in 1502. Costa Rica literally means “Rich Coast” and apparently it was so named because of the gold ornaments which the indigenous inhabitants used to wear. Now we know the richness is not in gold, but in nature!
Costa Rica is a small tropical country with a great variety of habitats, from the tropical dry forest and lowland to the rainforest and the paramo. The dry season is from December to April. From San Jose, the capital city, the closest beach on the Pacific is only an hour away, and in just three hours from the same city you can reach the Caribbean Ocean.
Traverse the rain forest in a canoe in search of birds, crocodiles and monkeys.
Go in search for endangered sea turtles (June - Sept).
Wake up to the sound of Howler Monkeys and have breakfast in the company of Squirrel Monkeys and birds.
Set off on a quest for the Resplendent Quetzal in the Tropical Cloud Forest and whales in the Central Pacific Coast.
Cruise on a catamaran for dolphin watching.
