The small chain of Bazaruto Archipelago islands are situated approximately 20 kilometres from Vilankulos. The four islands that make up the Bazaruto Archipelago form a national park, which offers a spectacular eco-system untouched by development. The tropical waters are crystal clear, with a huge selection of fish, turtles and corals, perfect for diving, birding and fishing opportunities.

Ilha De Mozabique, Mozambique

Picture-postcard Ilha de Mozambique is linked via a bridge to the mainland 3 kilometres away, its coastline offering unsurpassed views across the Indian Ocean. The northern parts of the island comprises splendid colonial buildings, mosques, forts, palaces and churches. In fact, so vast in number are these buildings that Mozambique Island, once the nation's proud capital, is a World Heritage Site.

Maluti Mountains, South Africa and Lesotho

The Drakensberg area is inhabited by the Basotho people. The landscape is wild and rugged and the Basotho pony is the ideal option to navigate around this terrain. The isolated worlds of the Drakensberg Mountains are a truly fantastic landmark. In summer the mountains are carpeted in wild flowers, whilst in winter the mountain peaks are covered in snow.

Kayaking these 200 kilometres is a truly unique experience. The coastline boasts some of South Africa's most beautiful and unspoilt beaches, craggy cliffs and seemingly endless oceans. The ideal playground for the kayaker and canoeist, the Garden Route is dotted with lakes, coves and cliffs, sleepy lagoons and wild oceans.  The area is best known for its conservation areas and huge tracts of reserves.
