of independence whilst offering all the benefits
of group travel. Our
safaris are specifically geared towards the needs
of modern day exploration.
Our
safari consultants will ensure
that your African safari expedition is undoubtedly
one of the most unique and unforgettable experiences
of your life. Every one of our safari
expeditions is designed so as to incorporate the four
key elements of relaxation, discovery, luxury and adventure.
Baobab's safaris
do not face country border restrictions and
we
only operate in politically safe countries. Our guides
will escort you across Botswana,
Kenya, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Rwanda,
Swaziland, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and South
Africa.
24-hour support from Baobab
backup vehicles, on-site guides and mechanics, as well as the latest communication
equipment, means you
can explore otherwise hard to reach World Heritage sites, secluded beach retreats
and numerous game parks.
Our partnership with the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund, Save the Rhino and The AfriCat
Foundation enables us to visit off-the-tourist track community and conservation
projects. These visits are specifically designed so as to give you a greater
insight into how these charities operate.
Our activities are designed so as to recapture the essence and adventure of a
by-gone era. Follow in
the footsteps of some of the continent's most legendary explorers; namely Livingstone,
Stanley, Baines, Andersson or Da Gama. You can relive some of their epic feats
of African exploration with the perfect balance of luxury and wilderness.
Choose from an exciting selection of adventure activities; including quad biking
across the Namibian desert, exploring Africa's game parks on horseback or canoeing
along Lake Malawi's beautiful shores.
At Baobab we are passionate about Africa. We have a very strict company policy
to ensure we always adhere to encouraging the development and promotion of tourism
in an environmentally sustainable manner.
What

the duration of your safari expedition.

the additional know-how and security of our highly trained staff.
Standard cell phones with international roaming facilities will keep you in constant
communication with the rest of the world.
How
many hours will we be driving per day and do we drive
at night?
We
aim to leave by 8am each morning. The early morning
is the best time to view wildlife in Africa and
the African climate warrants early morning departures.
Our guides always aim to avoid travelling in peak
heat. We intend to arrive
at your final destination early afternoon, giving you plenty of time to relax
and enjoy your dinner at sunset.
What

guides offer?
Baobab
guides are highly experienced in guiding groups of
tourists across Southern and Eastern Africa and they
all possess specialist knowledge of all the countries
listed in our safari expedition itineraries.
The
most important element in any Safari is your driver/guide,
since he accompanies you during the entire trip.
As you can imagine, this aspect can make or break
a good Safari. All Baobab
guides are fully qualified to provide you with a
specialist insight into the African wildlife, the
local culture, as well as their many traditions.
They love their country, have been raised in it and
know what is has to offer.
What
health precautions do I need to take?
Please consult your
doctor for the latest health and anti-malarial
precautions. It is entirely your responsibility
to ensure that you have taken all of the necessary
medical precautions required for our safari expeditions.
Malaria tablets, hepatitis, cholera, typhoid and
tetanus are all recommended.
Vaccinations such as yellow fever are compulsory.
Do
I need to arrange any Visas for the countries listed
on my safari expedition?

your travelling documents are in order before arrival.

What
should I expect at each country's border crossing?
Your

procedures when it comes to crossing international
borders. Please ensure that your passport is valid
for a minimum of six months, and that you have all
of the required visas so as to facilitate this process.

place.

to I need to bring with me?
