Uganda and Rwanda, with their warm tropical climates and lush fertile lands are renowned for their populations of majestic gorillas and chimpanzees that live and freely roam vast and expansive rain forests. This, alongside an abundance of other wild animals, flora and fauna prove Uganda and Rwanda to be a very well kept secret with an immaculately preserved wilderness.
Once dubbed the ‘Pearl of Africa’, Uganda is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful countries on the continent, home to not only the continents highest mountain range, the Rwenzoris, but also the source of the mighty Nile, the world’s longest river. Much of Rwanda is impressively mountainous, the highest peak being Karisimbi (4,507m) in the volcanic Virunga chain protected by the Parc des Volcans.
