Fascinating and informative safaris through Namibia “The Land of Contrasts”:
Our Private, Group, Honeymoon, Family, Camping, Photographic and Self-drive Safaris provide the perfect combination of luxury and wilderness, and are specifically geared towards the needs of modern-day exploration.
Namibia is a relatively new tourism destination having only become independent in 1990. The roads and general infrastructure are in good condition, although there are comparatively few tar roads, and the people are friendly and welcoming thus making the country an ideal destination for independently minded travellers. The southern regions are bordered by the Kalahari Desert to the east and the Namib Desert to the west, but the north is far less dry with a number of flowing rivers forming the borders of the Caprivi Strip. There are many natural wonders including Fish River Canyon, the Sossusvlei Dunes, and Etosha National Park in addition to unique inhabitants such as desert adapted elephant and rhino, age old welwitschia mirabilis plants, thirteen near endemic bird species, and the largest free roaming populations of cheetah and leopard in the world. Dedicated conservationists, forward looking policies, and communal conservancies that give rural inhabitants an investment in the tourism industry all speak well of Namibia’s potential to become an increasingly significant destination.
