Baines'
Camp
Set amongst the shady
trees and water of the Okavango Delta, the intimate
Baines’ Camp features luxurious suites
set on elevated platforms. Wooden decks offer
expansive views over the Boro River and a lagoon
teeming with wildlife.
The elevated suites feature a spacious bedroom
with softly-draped fabrics adding the romantic
touch of a bygone era. The four-poster beds
are fully mobile, giving you the choice of slumber
under star-laden skies. Avid astronomers will
delight in stargazing from the privacy of your
own deck. This exclusive Lodge is named after
Thomas Baines, the famed 19th century explorer
and artist. The main area features an oversize
deck for outdoor dining and a swimming pool
for refreshing sunbathing.
Situated on a private concession neighbouring
the Moremi Wildlife Reserve, the Camp offers
superb game-viewing. You can explore the area
by land and water, often into the night to discover
nocturnal species. The permanent water of the
Camp will reveal a world of floating safaris,
atmospherically silent at the gentle pace of
a poled mokoro, or faster in a comfortable shaded
motorboat. Walking safaris are a speciality
at Baines led by skilled, armed guides.

are led by resident naturalist guides who are
carefully trained to share their knowledge and

stunning focal point of this Camp and houses
the luxurious main lounge, a wildlife reference
library, dining room and cocktail bar, shaded
by giant ebony trees and overlooking the Okavango
Delta’s Xakanaxa Lagoon.
Camp Moremi is beautifully furnished in East
African style tents on raised teak platforms.
Lodge facilities include a sundeck, plunge pool,
boma and an elevated game-viewing platform at
